For over a century, Grill has been a campus favorite for students grabbing a quick snack between classes, congregating with their friends during free blocks, or simply avoiding the long dining hall lines. However, above all, students are drawn in by the grill cookie. With over 200 sold each day, the perfectly priced 50-cent homemade chocolate chip cookies have consistently been a go-to item.

Whether you’ve seen the videos of performative male competitions at school campuses and big cities on social media, or met one out in the wild, one thing is for sure. This niche has left a lasting impact on today’s society.

One would think such a feeling would bring relaxation, but in typical Exeter fashion, the Academy can never get its mind off the future. With the annual course registration from April 17 to 21 this year, students have already begun thinking about next fall.

On Dec. 11, Big Red Squash faced off against two schools, with our boys having their first match of the season, hosting Milton Academy. Our girls had their second match of the season, heading over to the Groton School. The team took an overall loss, with boys going 3-4 and girls going 0-7.

As the countdown to winter break begins, new and returning students are buzzing with excitement for holiday festivities. Although the two-week period between Thanksgiving and Christmas break is known as a whirlwind of exams, many dorms nevertheless go all out in celebrating the season. From Secret Santa gift exchanges to angeling to even wrapping fellow roommates like human presents, each dorm has its own way of expressing the holiday spirit.

From Oct. 2 to Oct. 4, Jewish members of the Academy observed Rosh Hashanah. The holiday, which celebrates the world’s creation and marks the start of the Jewish civil calendar, also marks the beginning of the High Holy Days: 10 days of introspection and repentance that culminate on Yom Kippur.

As a student-led performance, the directors of UnSilenced worked to coordinate every aspect of the show. For senior Bella Bueno, this year’s production was her second year as director.

At Exeter, Chipotle is usually the go-to Doordash food. Burritos packed with rice, cheese, and beans appeal to Exonians looking for a respite from Elm. For four-year-senior Yash Shah, from Mumbai, India, who orders Chipotle at least three times a week, it isn’t just food. It’s a lifestyle. “I think he spends one thousand on Chipotle a term,” upper Wilson Rhee estimated.
